HOW TO BUY YOUR
SINKER CYPRESS FURNITURE
1. PICK YOUR SLAB
No two Sinker Cypress slabs are the same. You'll have a face-to-face consultation at the Live Edge Woodworks shop to hand select your slab OR (if you're outside of Louisiana) you can Facetime with Eric Couvillion to determine the thickness, length and width of the slab you need for your project.
2. FINISHED PRODUCT PREVIEW
Many clients wonder what a raw slab will become once it's finished. Eric can test a small portion of the slab you select by applying a small amount of lacquer-thinner to reveal what nature locked away inside of the grain.
3. PRICING
Pricing for each project varies by the size of the finished piece, the addition of hardware/legs/etc., the time to properly complete the project and the price of the slab. Typically, clients will receive a range estimate with a "not-to-exceed" maximum price, so you can be confident in establishing your budget.
Note that any brackets (mantles), metal legs (tables), pulls/feet (desks) or any additional accessory outside of what is constructed of sinker cypress will incur an additional cost, which will be determined up front.
4. TIME TO COMPLETE
Every project is custom built. Depending on the complexity, size and current client demand, you will receive an estimate of completion for your project up front.
5. DELIVERY/PICK-UP/SHIPPING OF YOUR PROJECT
Once your project has been completed, you have a choice on how to receive your finished piece:
PICK-UP AT LIVE EDGE WOODWORKS: No additional cost. Client is responsible for all appropriate vehicles, straps, loading blankets, etc. to safely transport your project to its final location.
DELIVERY: Live Edge Woodworks will deliver the finished piece to its final destination. Client will incur additional delivery charges based on proximity from the shop. Price will be determined prior to transport.
SHIPPING: Live Edge Woodworks will coordinate shipping on behalf of the client to its final destination. Client will receive a direct pass-through invoice for the shipment and payment is required before the final project will be shipped.
